2022-05-02: A musical needs music

I know more show tunes than a straight guy has any right to know. What music should I use for this J6 musical? Something original? Something borrowed?

When I watched the House Select Committee coverage, I saw some familiar themes. Duty. Government. Cops. Pirates. Love unrequited.

I realized that I was watching "The Pirates of Penzance," but it’s J6, not February 29th. Gilbert & Sullivan would recognize the moment.

And G&S music is in the public domain. And I could Weird-Al the lyrics to match the situation. And I could add fictional elements and music from my other favorite G&S productions. And…
